There is no other celebration, no shared grounds, just the mill, the gardens and your guests. Walk from the banqueting room to the conservatory, out across the landscaped gardens and up to the boutique bedrooms, and picture exactly where your day unfolds. Each Sheene Mill wedding takes the whole venue for the entire day.
The Mill House and Banqueting Room
At the heart of the venue is the sixteenth century flour mill, with original beams, characterful interiors and room for up to 110 guests for a sit down wedding breakfast. Say your vows here, then turn the room over to a long lunch and the evening reception, with open fires in the colder months and the gentle sound of the River Mel running beneath. It is the kind of room that feels both grand and warmly familiar from the moment your guests arrive.
A Ceremony Over the River
Our heated pavilion is suspended over the River Mel and licensed for outdoor ceremonies from March to October, so you can say your vows in the open air with the water just below. It is one of the most romantic settings in Cambridgeshire, framed by the gardens and the gazebo by the mill pond. Your registrar has the final say on the day based on the weather, and the mill house is always ready as a beautiful indoor alternative.
A Light Filled Space to Gather
Opening onto the gardens, the conservatory is a bright, light filled space made for drinks, mingling and informal dining. It is the natural place for your reception drinks while the room is turned around, for canapés in the afternoon sun, or for relaxed evening food as the celebration rolls on. You are welcome to wrap fairy lights and bunting around the beams to make it your own for the day.

Ten boutique bedrooms overlook the River Mel, so your wedding party and closest guests can stay the night and carry the celebration into breakfast.
